Sabrina Carpenter gushed that Dolly Parton looked āamazingā in a behind-the-scenes look at the duoās āPlease Please Pleaseā music video.
Parton shared the clip on TikTok on Tuesday (February 18).Ā Carpenter exclaimed, āyou look so cute! ā¦You look amazing,ā when she saw Parton in costume on the set of the music video. āItās the glasses,ā she added later. āThey just automatically make it like, you mean business.ā
Parton teamed up with Carpenter on a new duet version of āPlease Please Please,ā which appeared on the deluxe edition of Carpenterās Grammy winning album, Short nā Sweet. The extended record arrived on Valentineās Day. Parton previously shared a video of the moment the two artists met, writing in her caption at that time, āturns out, two things can be short and sweet.ā
The Sean Price Williams-directed music video opens with Parton and Carpenter in a vintage truck. The visual includes a glimpse of a figure whose face is covered, but the personās wardrobe resembles what Carpenterās now-ex, actor Barry Keoghan, wore in the original music video. By the end of the video, Parton and Carpenter hear police sirens approaching behind them.
Carpenter said as the video premiered: āDolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!! I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me.ā
āI want Dolly in everything,ā Carpenter said in the video when she met Parton. āThank you for being you.ā
