Sara Evans Posts Heartfelt Tribute To Her Late Father: 'I Miss Him So Much'

Sara Evans shared a heartfelt post in honor of her late father, Jack Evans, who would have celebrated his 80th birthday on Thursday (April 24).

Evans shared a few photos of her dad in a post on Instagram. One black-and-white snapshot is a memory from her childhood. Another photo showed the father-daughter duo on stage together on April 29, 2006. The country star wrote in her caption: “My dad Jack Evans would have been 80 today. I miss him so much and think about him every day. Happy Birthday Dad! Love you! 🩷”

Evans lost her father in November 2020. He was 75. The award-winning artist remembered him as “funny, handsome, and loved by all. Dad, I will miss you so much. And love you always,” she wrote in a tribute at the time. She told PEOPLE, in part, in the days after the loss that “he not only taught me how to sing, but he also taught me how to sing harmony. He was so proud of all of us and our music.”

Evans named her son, Avery Jack, now 25, in honor of her father. Evans is also a mother to daughters Olivia, 22, and Audrey, 20, who recently announced she’s pregnant with Baby No. 1. Evans beamed that she’s “so in love” and “cannot WAIT” to meet her first grandchild.
