Jelly Roll shared a heartfelt response when his wife, Bunnie Xo, shared her past mugshots and a candid, emotional reflection.

The Dumb Blonde podcast host said her lawyer, Michael A. Troiano, sent her the mugshots on Tuesday (November 4). She posted them on Instagram and said, “I had no idea the emotions it would unlock,” as she went on to share some of the stories behind the photos, spanning from 19 to 26 years old. Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, said she looks at them now and “(I) just want to hug that little girl.” She also noted that she’s “not ashamed of these photos. They remind me who I used to be, & how far grace has carried me.”

“I would have never became the man I am without you,” Jelly Roll wrote in the comments. “It was your story that inspired mine, it was always you I was trying to be like. I'm glad the world is about to hear the real perseverance, and see what God can really do. While people talked about us, judged us, wished on our downfall, we just stayed the course and believed what God had for us no man could take away. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the power of our testimony. TESTIFY BABY! TESTIFY!”

Bunnie Xo concluded her post with a message of encouragement to anyone in a “rock-bottom season right now,” and noted that she’ll reveal her life story in her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. The book is due to arrive on February 10, 2026.
